Tiles are made from clay and a few other materials and are largely classified into two subgroups, namely:

• Ceramic or non-porcelain tiles
• And vitrified or porcelain tiles

The vitrified tiles, on the other hand, are more porous, highly scratch-resistant, easy to maintain and install, and stronger and more durable.
